Disagreeing with someone because you share different view points from them is a very common thing. Have you ever done that with your parents? In the passages from Confetti Girl and Toritilla Sun, the narrators have points of view different from those of their parents. These differences in opinion and point of view create tension in both stories. This develops a conflict in both stories as well. In the passage from Confetti Girl, the narrator's opinion that her father may say that she's important, but she's not, and in the passage from Tortilla Sun, the narrator's opinion that her mother only cares about what her mother thinks and not about what the narrator thinks is what creates tension in both stories.

One reason this is true is because both of the narrators points of view make them think negatively about their parents. This is because both the narrators in both stories accuse their parents of not thinking their opinions matter. In Confetti Girl the narrator thinks that her father cares about his books more than he does about her. In Tortilla Sun the narrator thinks that her mother doesn't care about her opinions at all. In the text, the narrator says, " "Opportunity? For me? Or for you?" "(paragraph 34) This shows that the narrator in Tortilla Sun is skeptical of whether her mother's choice was made for the her mother's gain, not her's. This shows how the difference of view points are similar in both

There will be an analysis of the characters and how the stage was set up and how that helped delivered the message of the play. There were two main characters, Judith and Carlos.
