On page 156 it states that, “But I hadn’t taken by pills the night before-had fainted, had an emotional breakdown, sobbed and fell out of control. In short, I’d acted in a way that was just not like me. I felt...like a lot of other teenage girls must feel. Could this be...normal?” On this page it is talking about how she missed daily pills or what they call “vitamins” and she acted like a normal teenage girl. Before she acted like a robot, she didn’t even cry when she found out her parents were dead. She was now more interested to what these pills are made of. This is an example of her being curious and always wondering about something. Another example of her being curious is on page 212, it states that, “What were my mother’s secrets?” At this time in the story the family’s personal assistant Samantha is telling Tandy about how her mother Maud was “a woman of many secrets”. This made Tandy wonder about her mother’s past and she was now trying to figure out who her mother really was.
