In the book Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro, Tandoori Angel, also known as Tandy, is a whip-smart teenager who lives in New York City. She has three brothers: Harry, Tandy’s twin brother, Matthew, Tandy’s famous football star brother, and Hugo, a ten year old with an uncanny strength. Her parents Malcolm and Maud, own a company called Angel Pharmaceuticals, and are one of the most well known people across the world. One night in their penthouse, her parents Malcolm and Maud are murdered. Tandy helps crack the case by using her intelligence, determination, and curiosity. Tandy’s intelligence is an important role in the story. Her intelligence helps her and her brothers when they head into the pill factory

On page 156 it states that, “But I hadn’t taken by pills the night before-had fainted, had an emotional breakdown, sobbed and fell out of control. In short, I’d acted in a way that was just not like me. I felt...like a lot of other teenage girls must feel. Could this be...normal?” On this page it is talking about how she missed daily pills or what they call “vitamins” and she acted like a normal teenage girl. Before she acted like a robot, she didn’t even cry when she found out her parents were dead. She was now more interested to what these pills are made of. This is an example of her being curious and always wondering about something. Another example of her being curious is on page 212, it states that, “What were my mother’s secrets?” At this time in the story the family’s personal assistant Samantha is telling Tandy about how her mother Maud was “a woman of many secrets”. This made Tandy wonder about her mother’s past and she was now trying to figure out who her mother really was. One last example of Tandy being a curious character is on page 328, it states that, “Let’s do a secret ballot and see where we stand.” At this point in the story, Tandy and her brothers still don’t know who the parent’s murderer is. Tandy is curious, and wants to know if her brothers could also be murderers, and who they thought was the killer. For example, because Tandy is curious, she investigates her mother’s items to find out her secrets. As you can see, Tandy is a very curious character with something always on her
