The bias that if a conclusion supports your existing beliefs, you’ll rationalize anything that supports it. I understand that we all have different opinions and that everyone is free to speak up their own mind. I also believe in the tradition way of life; I believe that the past has taught us so much and we should learn from those experiences. I know I can be wrong, but I believe that if a specific monument has been out in public for so many years then it should stay there.
Although, I have this view on this situation, you would never find me arguing with someone over this. However, there are many people who really want their voice to be heard and will do anything to support their beliefs and they will argue and protest their beliefs until their voice is heard. I feel like this goes hand and hand because the only reason that these monuments are being removed is because people are stating their opinions and not stopping until, they make a change. Overall, I did enjoy the speech and I learned a lot about the uprising views on monuments and the beliefs that many people have on
