In each coaching session I establish my own set of goals that I personally would like to accomplish. In each session I am faced with reality, the reality of engaging with another individual with a different mind-set. Because of this, I have to find ways to overcome obstacles and create my own mental list of options to help facilitate each session. As we move forward, I understand that this is a learning process for the both of us. The more we engage with each other the more we learn. The more we learn the more we grow.
Improvement Areas
Learning is a continuous process; therefore, there’s always room for improvement. I am still in the process of improving my interpersonal communication skill, while reflecting on my own personality traits. Coaching this individual with a pessimistic behavior requires more patience that I could have ever imagined. I believe that in due time, my own frustration will subside. I have come to accept that every session with this coachee will present some sort of challenge. I realize that I must remain persistent with patience and understanding, if we both are to reach the ultimate goal.
