Condor Monologue

After walking along a path that he had found for a few hours, Condor spotted a large monument made out of dark granite with silver accents. There were several fountains and waterfalls that dripped astonishingly dark ink and left Condor shaken. Although the monument had a grim air about it, he knew that he had to go inside. As he began to tread up the numerous stairs to the main entrance, he felt fear coursing through his veins. He reasoned that if his friends were there, all this could be over and he could go home and if they weren’t, he could get out of there quickly enough. His fear increased as he approached the main entrance and gazed up at the large, solid doors. However, he had no choice. He pushed as hard as he could to open the …show more content…
Condor turned to the voice to see a lime green pen that seemed awfully familiar.
Upon seeing a vague look of recognition cross Codor’s face, the pen began a speech, “Yeah, you remember me, don’t you? You better, ‘cause I remember you. Yeah, I remember the da like it was yesterday. The day that old good boy Condor had his pal exiled. Mhmm, it’s me Penjamin.” he paused to look creully upon Condor. “You remember, don’t you?”
“Penjy, I thought I’d never see you again!” Condor hummed. “God, I wish that I could go back to that day and-”
“Shut up, scum!” Penjamin interrupted. “And don’t you dare call me Penjy. You ruined my life. You took everything from me! You took everything! I had to work my way up. I had to take care myself. I was just a kid when you ruined me. You hear that? You ruined me!”
“Penjy, I’m sorry. But what you did was wrong. But that's in the past. We can be friends again. We can be okay again! You can come home with us and talk with the elder and everything will be okay. Everything can be okay. Okay?”
“Oh no, sweetie.” Penjamin said with a smirk. “That’s not how this is going to go. You’re going to pay and I’m going to prosper. Like it should’ve been from the beginning. You get

Intently gazing at the Washington Monument like never before–pondering he had never had the time to go up it until now. Slowly spinning the free-moving, black, leather chair, Lockwood stopped it abruptly; his secretary was patiently standing by the open door. No wonder he felt a draft on his neck. Putting his hand over the phone receiver, he bluntly said to her, “Betty, the door, please.” Seeing she was not going to budge, he put his hand back over the receiver and gave her an upward nod.…

From the first moment Romiette, Julio, Ben, and Destiny started to create their plan, I knew it would go wrong. The plan, in short, was to send Romi and Julio out as bait to record The Devildogs threatening them. This part of the plan alone sounds dangerous, but it gets worse. As a safety precaution Destiny and Ben would trail behind the couple in a loud, slowly moving car. Since they began talking about the plan, I've been anxious for them, so naturally, this section had me on the edge of my seat.…

I was over ecstatic when Fernando, (also known as Fernie) my best guy friend asked me to go on a walking adventure with him in our hometown of Kelseyville, California. We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…

Hello, Keren how are you doing? I found your working draft essay very fascinating and unique at the same time. Well, I haven’t read the poem and that might be hard for me to give you a real detailed feedback, but I kind of get what you are talking about and it’s about the double standard that the poet has created in his poem to describe his feelings on the actions of Noah and the Vulture. Your introduction is very clear and well-organized, but short at the same time that’s not in a bad way though.…
