The point is to give students the need to want to protect themselves as more and more unwanted pregnancies are happening among students all over the United States. More importantly it’s telling students that it’s okay to have sex just by having safe sex. Changing the way that students view condoms is an issue if more students are seeing that the use of condoms are becoming popular they will want to use them. Giving women a cheaper alternative than birth control that have effects on their bodies and that is also in limited use in America. This gives them more control without it seeming as they always have to be the individual involved that has to take the responsibility of enforcing safe sex it now falls equally for both parties involved. Just simply using the condom machines isn’t the complete answer to unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, but it’s a start along with proper instructions on what safe sex actually is changing the perspective of students to want to protect themselves. Studies of implements this idea have been tested in a rural South Carolina school “After the program was implemented, the pregnancy rate for 14-17-year-olds declined significantly for several years.” Therefor this program does have its advantages in properly informing students about taking control and limiting the teen pregnancy rates across
