Right after my graduation, I received a letter of conditional admission from the California State University of Long Beach. After attending the ESL Prep program there for a short period, I realized that I should aim for a more competitive and challenging program that fit my scholarly status. I immediately quit the program and studied for ACT and other exams to qualify myself for higher opportunities. Now, several months after my graduation, my English skills have been considerably enhanced through reading English newspapers, offering free English speaking lessons to friends who also want to improve their abilities, and assisting my mother’s English class as a substitute teacher, along with preparing my new college application.
