Concussions come in many different forms. 17.2% of concussions come from collisions, 14.2% of people give concussions, 22.9% get concussions from objects, etc. They all can have a different duration of time as well, meaning some concussions may last 24 hours, while others take a few weeks or months to recover. A few misconceptions about concussions are that you have to pass out in order to get concussion, older people get them more often, and they come from a direct blow to the head. Symptoms that you could have a concussion could be dizziness, headaches, imbalance, confusion, memory loss, loss of consciousness, vision change, hearing change, mood change, and fatigue. All of these symptoms could become a major problem in your lifetime. If you have imbalance you could potentially fall and hurt yourself even worse and it could take longer to recover from. If you have a headache you would be unable to continue or focus on your work at school, place of business, or other important events. Memory loss could cause misunderstandings or unnecessary arguments. All in all, the symptoms of having a concussion can definitely cause long term
