There has always been some type of debate over football and the risk factors it has on its players. This contradiction has recently increased after the movie “Concussion” was released. The debates over this sport include: should children be able to play football despite the risks it includes? Should NFL players have to change their equipment and their ways of playing the game? Would you allow your child to play this sport? All are very good questions to debate over but should it really be taken to that extreme? Football players whether they play in the NFL or their children just having fun know the risk to their health when entering this game and thus should be allowed to play the sport without any additional rules or equipment modifications. More and more Americans play and watch the games. This also means that with the increased intensity there have been more records of concussions. Although the players are well aware of this risk factor, people still worry about it. To help this situation there is many records, classes, and passages to inform people about the game and ways to help treat or prevent concussions. It is as easy as looking it up on the internet and being supplied with hundreds of links to help inform you, in fact depending how you search the issue there is over five million responses on how to treat a concussion: or even going to your child’s coach and asking for more information about how to help your son/daughter if they do obtain a concussion from playing. Many people try to act like they do not know what can come from a sport like football but going into any contact sport you are always at risk of head injury knowing this, is why we are well educated about the sport and ways to help in it.
