Prevention is the key to making sure that athletes are protected from the dangers that concussions bring about. The redesign of helmets is a good first step in what needs to happen in order to protect the players during games and practices. These redesigned helmets need to be required for football players at all levels of the game. A second thing that needs to be done is that of awareness being raised about the dangers all the way around. The more that people talk about the dangers that concussions bring, the more that players, coaches, parents and professional organizations will be aware of what is really going on. Concussions are dangerous and athletes need to be protected in every way possible.
