Perfect Society Essay

Utopia It would be pretentious to try and dictate what a perfect society would be like since it may not be one even to the person residing in it. Even in the society, there could be chasm between its structure and the people that it contains. However, I will describe what I feel would not be a perfect, but sustainable society. This society will unite its people in a way that everyone is treated equally and fairly so long as they too treat everyone uniformly. What governs it will not possess the people but protect them so they feel secure. This not only goes for outside danger, but also so the members feel secure in their own community. To begin with, this society should define what a government’s job is, which is to make sure all of its people are included. Because human nature itself can not run a society, as it will collapse in the midst of everyone seeking for their own good, a political …show more content…
It should be very well established that everyone is equal. Whether it be a person being convicted of a crime or a pedestrian crossing the street, no one should be “subjected to or subordinate to anyone else” (Locke 3). It would be against the law to show any aggression, discrimination, or segregation to anyone of different ethnicity, sexuality, religious or spiritual beliefs. It would be futile to mention that any type of person is to be accepted into this society, however it should be stated to clear any obfuscation. This is also true for anyone attempting to enter, so long they show a commitment to be a functioning member of society. Anyone recalcitrant to this law will be punished accordingly to the level of unfairness they treated the victim. It is vital for a society’s members to treat each other equally and with respect because “the only basis there could be for something’s counting as an act of the whole would be its having the consent of every individual” (Locke

Scottsboro boys Racism and bias run through our so called justice system, how can we say we practice fair punishment until everyone is treated equal in the court room? At a time when racial tension was high, 9 boys were wrongly arrested and held to an unfair trial that would have brought them to their death if it wasn’t for the international attention that the boys gained due to its demonstration of blatant racial discrimination, as well as the lawyers association with a U.S communist party Who were the Scottsboro boys? Analysis of Rhetorical Project For this assignment, I decided to work off a subject that truly “strums” a string in my heart, which is racism, particularly the “Stop and Frisk” law which has arised in New York. This unfair law has been in my subconscious, as it strikes me as both illogical, and quite offensive to minorities. While the law aims to create “safety”, as well as eliminate criminal activity, it truly offends those who are suspected of crime, especially when a large sum of those people randomly happen to be POC. And, according to NYPD’s reports, 9 out of 10 of the chosen suspects are innocent. These people are pulled simply because they have a certain “look”, and I find it to be not only offensive, but…

Equality, freedom, rights, morality, principles, respect, love and trust are are just a few characteristics used to create a better and more just society. Despite the fact that these characteristics are very delicate when alone, but when mixed together, these ordinary, everyday occurring events of life come together to form a pure and all the more powerful “JUST SOCIETY.” "I've always dreamt of a society where each person should be able to fulfill himself to the extent of his capabilities as a human being, a society where inhibitions to equality would be eradicated. This means providing individual freedoms, and equality of opportunity, health, and education, and I conceive of politics as a series of decisions to create this society." - Pierre Elliot Trudeau Pierre Trudeau is known as one of the greatest political figures in Canadian history.…

Throughout history, when historians consider the success of the Great Society, a divide appears, one side believing that the Great Society was a total failure and a huge waste of government money, conversely the other side believing that the Great Society really improved the American life and was a worthwhile plan. Two notable historians, George F. Will and Joseph Califano butt heads in this argument. Califano, who worked closely with Lyndon B. Johnson, believes that the Great Society was a huge success, which rebuts Will’s ideas that the Great Society caused over dependency on the national government and its provisions. Califano believes that the Great Society’s legislations brought down the poverty level and improved Americans lives in many…

In the article Rough Justice by Alejandro Reyes “No matter how harsh your punishments, you’re not going to get an orderly society unless the culture is in favor of order.” It is important for people to take a stand on issues of justice in society. Three reasons it is important for people to stand on issues of justice in society is that people should stand up to change things that are wrong and turn them right, people represent others who can’t represent themselves, and people should be treated equally. People should stand up to change things that are wrong and turn them right, “We are not subjects, you are not the sovereign either, so long as it is your endevour to control us with justice and love, we will let you do so.”…
