Conclusion Of Ethical Behavior

What is ethical behavior? Is it the notion that people should know the difference between right and wrong? I believe that may be the case but sometimes I wonder if people’s comprehension clouds their judgement. What may be right to you may be perceived as wrong to me or someone else. So ask yourself again what is ethical or unethical behavior. I think that depends on who you ask and that is why we have laws, regulations, rules, policies, and procedures. A lot of people are sleep and most people will follow the majority even if they are wrong and then justify their actions because other people are doing the same thing. Therefore, employees should have a sense of ethical reasoning. The biggest influence that I had internally in the workplace would be my co-worker and externally are our guest. Where I work my employer wants us to act professionally at all times even when we are not on the clock but we are on the property. It would be considered unacceptable to talk badly about the guest or talk about the guest personal information even if we are not at work. We are expected to be on our best behavior at all time because this is part of our culture.
Conclusion, I think that it is important to study ethic in business so that I can gain a better understanding of what is expected of me. I don’t think that ethics is going to be challenging for me but I don’t think that ethics is a belief and/or action. What I mean by that is some people do the right thing because they feel it is fair and other people do the right thing because they don’t want to deal with the consequences or maybe they just what to be accepted.
