Concise Team Development Strategy In The Case Of Franklin Equipment Ltd.

Having a concise team development strategy is an important part of project management. In the case of Franklin Equipment, Ltd., they mentioned different criteria of how to put together a team for a project as well as how did the project manager handle the on-going conflict between team members. This paper will cover the criteria used by Franklin Equipment, Ltd. (FEL) to assign managers to project teams, the reason why it is important to work well together on an international project, what the internal consultant is faced with to build the team, and the consultant’s recommendation to the project manager on how to manage the team during the entire duration of the project.

The team members of the Project Abu Dhabi are not in the same page. Each member has their own personal issues and having personality conflict with other team member. The reason why it is important for the team to work together especially with this project because of its complexity and cost constraints that affects the product deliberations and other factors involving the project and international laws (Gray, C., & Larson, E., …show more content…
Also, two of the team members have a dysfunctional relationship which have its ups and downs but can be dealt with by fixing the issue between Perry and Rankins to eliminate any future conflict between them. This can be resolved by managing the conflict by not using accusation words and get each other side of the story and organized a meeting between the two members so they can see eye to eye where the issue is coming from (Williams, J., 2002). Then, for the whole team and the project, the project manager should organized meetings and creates some ground rules, team identity, make a team vision, come up with a reward system when milestones are met, coordinate the decision-making procedure, manage conflict during the project with open mind, and last but not least, revitalizing the project team to keep up with the deliverables and deadlines (Gray, C., & Larson, E.,
