Problem to Solve:
The issue in this article is that there is a need to reduce the risks of adolescents who are vulnerable to negative high risk health outcomes and circumstances. The problem facing Teens is that adolescent pregnancy and childbearing continues to be a major public health issue. Despite overall declines statistics show that nearly one-third of teens become pregnant by the age of twenty years old.

The theoretical framework for this study is that by providing a clinical-based youth development program to high risk adolescent adults with the applications of one-on-one case management, community, peer and mentor leadership, and individual influence applied in the areas of school disconnection, violence involvement and sexual risk behaviors as a precursor to reduce teen pregnancy. The Conceptual framework for this is shown in. Figure 1 of this article shows a table for the conceptual framework thus stating that through the intervention components of Case Management, Peer education, and employment and youth leadership/ service learning while promoting a positive school environment, instilling educational aspirations, building the framework for strong family and school connections while connecting them with peers and mentors who share the same social behaviors and norms that support abstinence and safe sexual …show more content…
