Description/definition of concept 1: The act of causing people to do something or believe something

The first example would be when he persuades them into thinking that everyone is againt them. The one that stands out the most to me is when the men surrounding the meeting place are holding the guns and facing them inwards. These people were listening to Jim Jones like the Nazis listened to Hitler. They also had to condition the people and make them feel like there is only one choice, so they went with what Jim Jones said. This is very scary because it shows how unknowledgable these people were about the outside world, and what was actually out there.
