If one does not feel comfortable with a gun, they should not be required to carry one, but the right to protect yourself should never be taken away. McMahan points out that people who would have had a fist fight, now would simply take out their guns and kill the person who aggravated them, not to mention the people around them are in danger and could be accidently shot (Shafer-Landau, EL 392). Suppose two friends are at a bar and they are drunk, both have a gun, then they start to arguing but nothing over something to kill one another. If they had no guns, they would fist fight and the people around them would try to separate the men. However, if the two men had guns, they would pull out their guns and shoot at each other. One or both of the two friends would get shot and bleed to death, and/or maybe, since most of the community owns guns, many of the people in the bar will pull out their guns and start shooting to protect themselves.…

Guns are not going away, that just is not possible; therefore, we must arm those who are capable, realize that complete gun control will not stop the mass shootings, and allow concealed carry on college campuses. Every American citizen holds the right to protect themselves as well as holds the right to bear arms and therefore should be able to act on that right. College campuses are not safe, and though there are public safety officers, most of the time they are in their cars and would not be able to arrive in time to do something; however, someone in that classroom who has a concealed carry permit and brought their gun might just be able to stop some people from being killed should he or she choose to act accordingly. It is the right of the American citizen to protect themselves with a weapon should he or she choose to do so and the government should not threaten to take that away, nor even attempt to take away one of our rights which was given two hundred and twenty five years…

In the United States there are currently eight states that do not require you to have a permit to carry a concealed handgun. These states include Alaska, Kansas, Arizona, Maine, Vermont, Wyoming, and West Virginia. While there are some differences in the laws between the states the general idea of this law is that residents of the state who are over the age of 21 and have not lost their firearms rights do not need a special permit, but instead the Second Amendment counts as their permit, to be allowed to carry a gun in a concealed manner such as in a holster that goes on the inner-waist band of the wearer’s bottoms. I believe that eliminating the permit process is not beneficial to the society as a whole and that the removing permits takes…
