Bo Burnham. Conan O’Brien. John Mulaney. Bill Burr. Stephen Colbert. I’m terrible at starting essays, so I just say names of famous comedians who are way funnier than I am. In my opinion, comedy is a common trait found in everyone. I’ve never met anyone who hates to laugh. That’s why I deeply respect the comedians listed above, they entertain millions of people. Unlike me, they can be smart and funny. After watching hours of their comedy specials, (it’s scary to think about how much time I spent… wow) I started writing my first standup comedy routine. After I was done, I presented to my sister and my dog. And it was terrible. Only my dog laughed. But hey, the only failed comedians are the ones who give up right? I’ve been writing new jokes,
