I haven’t been able to use my computer for the past two weeks a virus and it wasn’t fun. Today, I’m trying to catch up with my online classes (Writing essentials and Write your life story) and writing in my blog.
I can’t believe how much time I spent on my computer between my classes, my blog, Pinterest, and Facebook. So having a little break from all that it wasn’t that bad at all. I have a full-time job from Monday to Friday and beside my job I have to take care of my house, my grandkids (babysit after school), my husband, my dog, and my elderly dad who for the past year and half he moves into my home. My computer has been my little time to relax before going to bed and during the weekends.
Without my computer, I was kind of lost for the first couple of days, but then I decide to do some cleaning that I was skipping since I took down the Christmas decorations, finished reading a few books (a series), wrote in my journals(I have six, including my counting my blessings), watch a few movies with my husband like “Gravity”,”12 years of slave”, “Guilt Trip”, and “Last Vegas” also watch a few of my TV shows that I have tapped in my DVR so now I’m ready for the new episodes.

But this time with a little change, using my time more wisely. I do love spending more time with my husband watching movies and our TV shows (tonight “Once Upon a Time” and a new show called “Resurrection”). I went to Barnes and Nobles and got a new book “Halo” by Alexandra Adornetto is a trilogy so I can’t wait to start this one. I will be writing more in my journals, my dream is to finish writing my book and to do some fun things outside the snow is starting to melt so gardening will be next.
My computer time will be for early mornings on weekends when everyone is still sleeping and maybe a few afternoons during the week to keep in touch. Time is priceless and I need to use it wisely. I still need my time to relax just for me so reading and writing will be

Over the weekend we also took our camper down to Cooler Valley RV to get it winterized.…

I was drowning out the world with the music playing through my phone, twirling the headphone cord around my finger. My hand brushed across the paper as I erased some pencil markings. I observed the text on the brightly lit screen of my chromebook, searching for the answers to the questions on my homework. I stared at the screen with a look of confusion on my face. Little did I know that the next few moments would put my hard work to some use.…

When I was very little, walking up the trail with a pack on my back and the dog at my side, I would reach out and pull leaves from the bushes and trees. I would tear off corners, smooth the edges, and they would be turned into spaceships, flying across a lush alien world. Sometimes the trail, worn down into the ground over time by paws and hooves, would climb its way up onto the crests of ridges and meander across the moist, mossy fringes of muskegs. The rough, black and gnarled spruce branches that grew there were pirate spacecraft, pursued by the sleek birch branches from beyond the muskeg's soggy borders. As imaginary lasers and rockets exploded against the ships' hulls, I would rip off little pieces of bark and let them fall to the forest floor.…

Short shorts. Short shorts as far as the eye can see. This is what I saw all over ETSU’s beautiful campus as I went one day without my cell phone. Initially, I thought nothing much would come out of the seemingly uninteresting assignment, but I was mistaken. It proved to be an eye-opening day, mostly because I saw how much students were on their phones, I learned that I am terrible at telling time, and I can now cope with my social anxiety instead of jumping to my phone.…

My time is consumed by my education and work life. I started using a weekly calendar to schedule my work days and figure out what days will be dedicated to each class and a time frame for each event. Before college, my life was all about socializing and my high school education. I did not have to concern myself with scheduling so often.…
