Introduction:
The complete computer is made up of CPU (Central Processing Unit), Memory and Related Electronics, All the peripheral devices connected to it and its operating system. Computer Systems will fall into 2 categories: Clients and Servers.
Any computer system needs both hardware and software components to work together to help the computer system to work.
Hardware - Is a physical component that contributes to the build of a computer system. For example… Processor, Main memory, Secondary Memory, Input Devices, Output Devices
Software - Is computer programmes and data that help provide the BIOS instructions for telling the hardware what to do and how to do it. For example… the operating system is the most obvious system software.

Diagram of how the computer system works: The computer system will take “Data (Raw Information)” and store it in “Memory” or “Storage” this is called “Input” then when the data is ready to be used it will be processed through the “CPU, Computer Processing Unit” and the when the results are ready it is called the “Output” which you will then be able to view on your monitor.
A simple Example of the Input, Process and Output would be using a toaster. The input device would be the piece of bread, and the process would be the heat inside the toaster cooking the bread, finally the output would be the toast at the end.
