Computer games are devices that generate a visual feedback to allow the interaction with the human. The first device that was invented is the “cathode-ray tube amusement device” by Goldsmith and Mann and was panted in 1948.Although the computerized games started in 1970s, the violent age didn’t start until the 1990(Anderson, Gentile, and Buckley 2007). Since then, this technology has improved and its platforms have evolved allowing it to produce more realistic graphics and details, which made the danger of the electronic games greater. To lower the consequences, a “group rating system” has been established by Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) at 1994 so that the parents can make choices of which game is appropriate and can be bought …show more content…
In addition, the purpose of this research essay is to argue that the violent computer games should be banned for the sake of the generation by illustrating the aggressive behaviour caused by those types of video games, the effect of homicidal video games throughout childhood and the raising in violence caused by savage video games.

Firstly, playing electronic games that contain extreme violence and above the rating age can cause an increasing in aggressive behaviour, which may result in engaging in a taboo action. According to Griffiths and Hunt (1993, 1995) (as cited by Griffiths1999) that some adolescents who play video games were asked if playing video games has made them more aggressive. They responded by saying that it was the cause. For example, there was an experiment which was done on group of college students 120 by Whitaker, Melzer and Bushman (2013). The exam contained difficult question answering them was going to depend completely on pure luck. The results were found to be that those who had the chance to cheat the entire time got the higher than those who partially had the chance. Those who didn’t had the chance to cheat got the lowest average

This makes it a huge Problem because at present it is easier to download the games from the smartphones which made it harder to supervise the type of game that they are playing. Cable News Network website (CNN)(2013) reporters Levs ,Pearson and Russell points out that in Louisiana an eight year old boy has shot his caregiver after minutes of playing a violent video game. The Friends and relatives of the victim and the juvenile (according to CNN website) illustrated that they had a normal, loving relationship and they even shared a bedroom.
