Comprehensive Plan Of Care Case Study

I have not had any experiences with the Comprehensive Plan of Care. My understanding is that the Comprehensive Plan of Care is an individualized plan that addresses the child’s needs in an explicit fashion and is based on standardized and culturally appropriate assessments. It is inclusive by involving the child, the child's parent(s), caregiver, extended family and aboriginal community, if the child is aboriginal, to the fullest extent possible in assessment and decision making for the child.

I think the benefit of this type of case planning tool is that it can be critically reviewed and revised in assuring that the plan is relevant and meaningful and has the support for the child. This approach gives empowerment to children and their families;
