This book has easy to understand vocabulary and pictures that make it inviting and fun for children. It fosters encouraging descriptions of culture and positive attitudes toward one’s differences of others. It also fosters the ability to function harmoniously and effectively in our multicultural society. Our textbook, Comprehensive Multicultural Education: Theory and Practice, is always focusing on how teachers can promote multiculturalism in the classroom and I truly believe that this book is a great introduction to young children.
