1. Demographic Information
Mike is a 32-year-old self-identified, cisgender, heterosexual second-generation male of Mexican immigrant decent with no religious affiliation. He resides independently in an apartment where he is responsible for the payment of his rent and bills. Mile is an unemployed due to his current mental health symptoms, which include depression and isolation. Make was fairly well-dressed, wearing clothes that correlate with his cisgender identity. His fingers are stained by the repeated use of tobacco smoking which include creating his of tobacco cigarettes with smoking papers and loose tobacco. Mike reports that he is unaware of any history of mental health issues with his family or any substance abuse. His older sister may have also suffered from a depressive state after the death of their parents implicated by Mike’s recount of her behavior at that time, although Mike is not certain to make that claim. Also, he notes that neither of them sought mental health resources at that time. Mike reports that when his parents were alive that they had a successful relationship and were supportive of him and his sister. He also reports to have had a healthy relationship with his sister, but their dynamic changed after the death of his parents. These friends he has had since elementary school have been the only friends he reports to have currently. He reports that one of them own a bakery near where he resides and does visit him occasionally. Also, he has a few others that he seldom visits. He is said to have a long-term girlfriend that he reports was an unhealthy relationship centered around drugs and sex. He reports the relationship ended with her being overcome by her substance use, but now is doing as she is married and has children. He also reports to have been in a sexual relationship with a woman out of state that he would visit periodically, but she recently ended the relationship and used harsh and degrading words towards him in the
