Obesity is the accumulation of fat in the body usually caused by excessive consumption of calories in food, higher than the value used by the body for its maintenance and carrying out the activities of everyday life. That is, obesity occurs when the dietary intake is greater than the corresponding energy expenditure.

Possible Complications
People with obesity are more likely to develop diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, joint problems, breathing difficulties, gout, gallstones, and even some forms of cancer.

The most worrying is the childhood obesity, which is increasing overtime. According to the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention, around 17% (or 12.7 million) of youngsters and youths aged 2—19 years are obese. Childhood
