The thesis in this particular article is “we pay particular attention to the fluidity that exists between these racial categories, complicating the ways the people of color are positioned and repositioned within the Black-white binary that often dictates racial politics in the United States (Irizarry & Rosa, 2015).” This article not only indicate the negative relationship between blacks and this countries legal system, but the authors also implements other minority groups such as Hispanics and Mexicans that essentially affected by policing and other social economic factors. This article contains pathos from the beginning to the end of the article, obviously the author is upset with the state of the black man in America and the tribulations that he constantly faces being in America. The author believes that not matter what type of success a black man or woman may achieve they will still be subject to racial profiling. The author placed everything into retrospect in order for the reader to not feel offended, but informed about the odds that be. This article is important, because the author provides stances from the post-racial America and make some pretty solid points in regard to there being no post-racial America, because it is now incognito. This source will be very helpful, because it provides me with cases of police brutality with either minorities or African American individuals that have been killed by law enforcement. Compared to my other sources this one is my favorite, because of the passion and realness of the article and the author.
