It ranks as the world’s second largest bus manufacturer, 4th largest truck manufacturer and 17th largest motor vehicle manufacturer by volume. In 2008, it launched the world’s most affordable car Tate Nano. It has two subsidiaries – Jaguar Land Rover, a premium car maker and Tata Daewoo, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles.
