In the United States, today, there are many opportunities to become successful and content with your life choices. With this present, there is still room for adjustment and improvement. In an individualistic culture, it is common and widely accepting of any type of effort made by an individual to better themselves and achieve a higher form of status. Whether it be mentally, in the workplace, or in the world. This view and acceptance creates an environment that makes it easier, for lack of a better term, to be successful in the view of your culture. In regards to the competition between genders, a more level playing field is set out between them as they compete against each other. With collectivism, everyone works together as a whole to better their conditions. With this unity, there is still room for specified roles that are handed out.
