One conceivable pattern in prosecutorial watchfulness that educators and legal counselors are nearly viewing originates from the result of Skilling v. United States. In June the Supreme Court put aside the conviction of Enron official Jeffrey Skilling. This choice spoke to the most noteworthy push-again on the development of professional wrongdoing in late memory, says Weisberg, with the Court basically voiding the legislature's hypothesis as illegally ambiguous (see Point of View, page 36). "Skilling reflected a worry that we've gone past prosecutorial carefulness to a domain of deficient notice, accordingly raising established issues," says Gilliam. "There's surely a groundswell in courts to truly investigate the legislature's choices more now than generally."…

In Russell Tiller’s documentary The Seven Five, the characters Michael Dowd and Adam Diaz were ideal ‘criminals’ to analyse using theories that we discussed in class. I will be using four theories to explain why those two characters were committing criminal acts. The four theories I plan to use are learning theory, self control theory, general strain theory, and differential association. I would like to start with Michael Dowd. He was known to be fearless, he was known to not care if he got busted, and he learned a lot of this behavior because of his fellow peers.…

“We are so caught up in the myths of the best and brightest and the self made that we think outliers spring naturally from the earth” (Gladwell 268). The truth is that what one is born into is what defines an individual. One’s social background forms the type of person you are and is what can define an outlier, one who stands apart from others according to advantages that he has no control over.…

Everything That Rises Must Converge: Flannery O 'Connor Often people think that knowledge equals power. However, in the short story, "Everything That Rises Must Converge," by Flannery O 'Connor, the author shows that knowledge does not always equal power when that knowledge is used for the wrong reasons. The character Julian in "Everything That Rises Must Converge," serves as an example of how someone cannot become successful solely off of being educated but through the choices that are made with one 's education. Argumentation Techniques Brian Tracy often uses anecdotes as his types of evidence and rarely uses proven statistics. He follows the same pattern for all of his chapters in the book, causing it to be very repetitive. He will first motivate the reader by reminding them of their potential and abilities. He may begin a chapter by saying that “You were born to do something wonderful with your life” (Tracy 116).
