The two ideas I love Freewriting, and Writer’s Notebook. Freewriting was coined by Peter Elbow. Behaviors are learned and writing is a craft. Discipline and hard work develops good habits. If freewriting develops fresh material, and writing is a craft, freewriting requires 100% total commitment to master the craft. Success is always hard work. Freewriting stimulates the conscience mind to listen to the deep inner voice we usually push aside. Words and phrases pop up in my mind at the most unusual places. World building, character traits, imagery, structure and point of view etc., create good stories and Notebook and freewriting can capture these elements on paper and create fresh stories.
