Comparison Of Soccer Ball And Foot Ball

Improved Essays
There was once a little Tennis Ball. This Tennis Ball had many older siblings. Basket Ball, Soccer Ball, and Foot Ball. The Ball family was the best set of brothers, well except for little Tennis. Tennis strived to be large and strong like his older brothers, but alas, it could not be done. He was too bouncy and flimsy. He could be squished, unlike his three other brothers. Little Tennis wanted this to change. He started working out, he had people throw him more, he had people bounce him more and he had people kick him more. Hoping this would make him stronger, Tennis had made a request to a duel with the meanest, the largest, and the strongest ball in the county, his mean cousin… Bowling Ball. Bowling Ball was astonished at the fact that …show more content…
They decided it was time for their younger brother Tennis to learn his lesson. Basket and Soccer were a bit confused as to why Foot hated Tennis having attention so much. Basket, Soccer, Foot, and Tennis all loved each other very dearly; however, Foot had to be the center of attention. Soccer and Basket, being the younger brothers of Foot, followed their older brother blindly with whatever he does. So, when Foot decided to put an end to Tennis’ popularity, so did the other two Ball brothers. They started making a plan to not only get rid of Tennis Ball’s popularity for now, but also forever. They decided they would play it off as an injury while playing a game. Nobody else would be watching, so why not? Nobody would believe one little Ball brother over the three older Ball brothers would they? Nah… of course not! So, the brothers formulated a plan to play a game of wrestling with Tennis. Once there, they would team up on him and make him non-bouncy for the rest of his life. The only way Tennis won the match against Bowling was because of his ability to bounce. If that was taken away, Tennis would be defeated in every other match he tried to …show more content…
Foot, being the oldest, got to do the honors. While they were “playing” a match of Wrestling, Foot took a pair of scissors and cut his little brother wide open. Tennis, in shock, screams out and tries to bounce away, but alas, he only rolls. After it happened, Basket and Soccer were shocked that Foot had actually done it without any regrets. The brothers themselves were feeling a bit wary about it and decided they were going to tell the people what Foot had done. However, Foot did not like this and decided to bribe his younger brothers into keeping his secret. He promised that as long as they kept his secret about harming Tennis he would not harm a little hair on their heads. They simply agreed, as they themselves did not want to get hurt. Tennis bounced, or rather attempted to bounce, away from his brother in an attempt to tell somebody what had happened. However, Tennis not being able to bounce away quickly allowed Foot to catch up to him quickly and warn him. Foot explained, “As the oldest of the three legendary Ball brothers, these people will not believe your word over mine. There would be no point in making yourself look like a fool in front of all your ‘fans’.” Foot had done it. He had once and for all taken the popularity away from Tennis, or so he had thought. Tennis, a bit star struck that his brother could do something like this to him, agreed to not tell any of his fans. However, Tennis was smart for his

The world’s fourth most popular sport is a sport of focus, hand-eye coordination, movement, and competition. Tennis has been around since the 12th century, causing it to be extremely ancient. The decrease of race and gender discrimination has increased the quality of play, and has changed the way that tennis is structured and viewed.…

In the piece, “Back to School Satire,” the author gets his point across in an entertaining way, but is also contemplative about it. There are many times through this piece that I apprehend what points the author is trying to express to us as an audience, however, he goes too far with some of his comparisons. To start off with, in the second paragraph the author tries to humour us by saying, “Throwing one’s racquet at an opponent after a pingpong match build good character and strengthens the opponent,” then also says, “what’s more, if the opponent has glasses, it would be beneficial for the glasses to break.” Even though this quote does show how it is at a public school it seems to be very immature for the author to say and seems like he…

Tires crunched on the loose gravel parking lot as I was dropped off at my high school’s tennis courts on the first day of school. With my high school requiring a year of physical education, I opted to take the lifetime sport for I was nervous to compete for a spot on the highly competitive teams my school was known for. I was met at the court by 30 other freshmen with a mixed variety of expertise spanning from the first time to ever hold a racquet to a district ranked player. The district ranked player’s father, Mr. Weaver, was a sophomore chemistry teacher who happened to play tennis professionally in his heyday. Mr. Weaver volunteered to teach the freshman tennis team and to train them the basics before they were transferred to “the real…
