The two famously known designers who I will be discussing in this essay are the following Marc Newson and Seymour Powell (Dick and Richard). I found both designers interesting to study, as each design they form are approached to benefit humans in different ways. Such as products which are personal and used daily, others which are designs being upgraded and satisfying human beings needs to this upcoming day;
The first designer i will be discussing is; Marc Newson is known for being a talented individual when it comes to the world of design, he was born and raised in the heart of Australia in the year of 1963. Both men were born in Great Britain; both started the company and came up with the name which was “Seymour Powell” which stood for both their surnames. The company is recognised for design and innovation talents. The company which includes Dick and Richard was co-founded in 1984 and has increased to being one of the best designer companies in the world. The company is known for improving products to what they originally are. For example; the company cover all ranges of enhancing new ways to make products better. Designs are varied from being bra’s to toilets, their goal is to satisfy human beings needs and to reassure those who want change will receive it. Dick Powell one of the co-founders of the company studied in Manchester at the ‘Royal College of Art’ studying Design. Richard Seymour also attended a School of Art, at a college named ‘St Martins Central’. Richard then went to study Graphic Design and Illustration. Designing was Richards true talent when studying in education; An interesting fact about both designers is that Richard and Dick attended high school together, both were oblivious to each other’s company but then became college friends as they matured, and through time started their own business with each other. Both designers then went on to winning many awards for their company/business ‘Seymour Powell’ these awards included;
