It toys with the idea of a free black bounty hunter. It begins with Django as a slave on a trail marching by slave masters when German dentist Dr. King Schultz liberates Django and employs him as his partner in bounty hunting. After a few successful bounty collections Django and Dr. Schultz plot to free Django’s wife Broomhilda from the worst Slave Owner in all of America, Calvin Candie. Django acts as if he is a slave owner come to buy Candie’s fighting slaves but when they reach Candieland Stephen, a black slave who has become as tyrannical as Calvin himself sees through his ploy and forces them to pay 12,000 dollars for Broomhilda, however Dr. Schultz being undermined flashes out and shoots Calvin putting Django in a position to be held as prisoner by Calvin 's slavers. After a death sentence by being sent to LeQuint-Dickey Mining Company he escapes enroute by persuading his captors to release him. He then rides to save Broomhilda and intercepts Calvin 's funeral entourage at the Big House where he sets things right and avenges not only Dr. Schultz but all of the enslaved men. He dynamites the Big House and sets fire to Candieland representing the burning on the forced labour
