The aspect of sharing experiences is how people are able to relate to the artists and it can benefit a person by simply listening to a song and understand the artist’s struggles and frustrations. Artists reveal themselves in their music and whenever people hear that they feel a bit of themselves in the artist which makes the listener listen to the words more attentively. Rap music helps listeners get rid of frustrations they may have or relieve any stress the listener is going through (“To win you must lose first”).
Rap music can heal mental states and motor functions in the brain. Medical therapy studies have shown music experiments that have rebuilt damaged areas of the brain such as attention spans, inability to speak fluently due to strokes, and Alzheimer’s.
