Comparison Of Give Kids The World And Big Sisters

The amazing feeling of helping children, that don’t have the same opportunities as one does, brings about an optimist feeling overall. There are a wide variety of organizations one can help out with, services that have the goal of making a difference in the world. Give Kids the World and Big Brothers and Big Sisters are volunteer organization that are similar in which they deal with children but also have some differences in the way they incorporate their help. The two organizations, Give Kids the World and Big Brothers and Big Sisters, have similar characteristics of one another. In both these organization it deals with kids that don’t have the same opportunities as other children. In both these places they help out children that are youth drop outs, live in detention or correction facilities, children that live in poverty, and children in single-parent homes. In give kids the world anyone volunteers to help kids in various activities. Face paint, sports, and games are amongst these activities. Big Brothers and Big Sisters work differently, they each get someone with a certain skill to teach them and give them advice. They would be a mentor to these children, helping them throughout the way. Give Kids the World works in groups where everyone interacts with one another making friends, socializing with people. They work on more of the children's social skills more than anything else. Big Brothers and Big sisters, a more mentor passed facility, is more interaction with one person learn the various activities and experience this person has or have had.
