Comparison Of General George Patton's Leadership Style And Methods

The term “leadership”, as described throughout Unit 1 of our reading, is portrayed by one’s ability to influence and or develop those around him or her in a positive direction (Manning & Curtis, 2012). Personally, I find that being a leader, in today’s society, is only as difficult as maintaining that influence through personal growth and experience. Additionally, a leader must possess the ability to motivate and direct others through collaborative communication in the attempt to achieve organizational objectives.
Someone I find to be a great leader would be General George Patton of the United States Army. Additionally, I am a Marine Corps Veteran but I do not completely agree with all aspects of General Patton’s Leadership style and methods.
