In an after world of destruction that happened in the future; Chicago, survivors were divided into five groups of fighting, based on their personalities: Abnegation, for the giving; Amity, for the peaceful; Candor, for the honest; Dauntless, for the brave; and Erudite, for the thinking-related and highly educated. Each year, all sixteen-year-olds must take an ability test that describes the group of people involved in a battle for which they are best suited. After receiving the results, they can decide whether to remain with their family's group of people or move to a new group of people involved in a battle. Divergent and the Hunger games relate in many ways such as; Katniss only sort of develops a real female friend who's a person who is in the similar age group towards the end of Mockingjay, mostly because she finds someone almost as broken as she is. Tris meets Christina when they both choose Fearless they always have each other's backs, they laugh together, tease each other about boys, and matter to each other in a way that feels real and natural. I like girls who know how to communicate with best friends. Katniss sort of just seems to know how to have weaker, younger women depend on her to show that she is the …show more content…
The Chicago city is different in the future, broken down and worn out. This area is located far from town. There is an entry that demands jumping down into a hole through the roof of a building, darkness faded as you look through the whole, it is seven stories high. The ceilings slope, and the walls are made of stone. The tunnels that make up the hallways are lit in long periods of space, creating large dark spaces. Large underground cave with uneven rock walls that rise more than two stories high. Built into the stone walls are places for food, clothing, supplies, and fun and relaxation activities. Narrow paths and steps are carved from rock and connect each place. The roof is made of glass panes. Above the panes of glass is a glass building that lets light into the Pit. There are blue lamps hanging by a thread at long periods of time above all the stone paths that grow brighter as the sunlight dies. The paths have no railings and are narrow.
Social Issues..
The moral and lessons learned from The book Divergent is that everyone has a different side to them. People aren't all going to make the same kind of decision when faced with a different situation that may involve death. They are bound to come up with an answer to a problem that is different to what they would usually do. A real life situation of telling a lie could be if someone that you know had something bad happen to them, telling a lie
