In both “Confetti Girl” and “Tortilla Sun”, the narrators both disagree with their parents points of view, ultimately causing tension in the family.

“Confetti Girl” was about a girl. Her mom died and she was trying to have a bond with her dad. Her dad was a teacher and love his books. The girl didn’t like doing school work. She struggled in school and she hated doing her work. Her dad asked her about her work everyday and checked if she did it. She wasn’t liking that.

“Tortilla Sun” was about a little girl named Izzy and her mom. Izzy’s mom was going away for 3 month for school. Izzy was upset because she wouldn’t go with her. Her mom was sending her with her grandma until she got back. She hasn’t seen her grandma since she was 6. Izzy
