Comparison In The Movie 'Remember The Titans'

In this essay the roles of Coach Boone and Coach Yoast in the movie ‘Remember the Titans’ will be discussed, the three topics being discussed are, what the various roles of the coaches were. The coaching style used by Coach Boone and Coach Yoast, and also what skills the coaches had. The first topic in question will be what the roles carried out by the coach are.
In the duration of the fill both coached fill a multitude of roles, not only as a teacher, leader and motivator but also as a friend and role model. Throughout the film, Coach Boone is someone who is very hard on the boys, not only individually but also as a team. Coach Boone not only is a tough coach who demands respect and makes decisions for the team rather than individual players,

Coach Yoast tends to be friendlier towards the players and makes them feel better about themselves. This is not only how he not only gets respect from them but also how he gives them confidence to play better. But at times Coach Yoast could also hold his own and demand respect from everybody, everyone knew that Coach Yoast knew football as he was going to be inducted into the fall of fame but had it stripped from him because of politics. There are two of these mainly expressed in the movie ‘Remember the Titans’, Coach Boone although mainly demonstrated and authoritarian approach also demonstrated being democratic in some points and casual in some points. Coach Yoast however tended to be more Democratic and casual rather than authoritarian.
Coach Boone mainly did things his way and his way only, he generally didn’t listen to what anyone had to say even Coach Yoast, Boone wanted to take full head of the ship all by himself and have very little help. Saying things such as this Coach Boone shows us how much authority he has over the team
