Joshua, Judges, and Ruth all share the fact of being written by unknown people. Although there are theories and traditions that indicate names, there is ultimately no proof regarding these claims. The time of authorship is vague as well. Joshua was likely first written during the 2nd millennium BC, Judges at least after the mid-11th century BC, and Ruth after 1010 BC (ESV Study Bible).
