Agora and Forum are linked to Greece and Roman cities, they both refer to a place where people are gathered together.
Agora is used for commercial purposes, it is a market places with shift shops set up at, it is situated at the center of the city, making it easy to reach from any part of the city, public buildings were close to it. Those buildings emphasize the important role it played in all features in public life.
Potters, cobblers, bronzeworkers, and sculptors made and sold their wares there.

The basilica was a columnar hall that had many purposes. It is said that the Basilica Procia which was built 184 B.C.E was the very first basilica built at Rome, in spite of the fact that no trace of it remains. The Basilica was an office for the tribunes of the plebs.
More basilcae were built soon after, including the Basilica Aemilia which was built in 179 B.C.E., it was renamed as the Basilica Paulli, also it was restored after an intense fire in 14 B.C.E., the Basilica Paulli was considered to be one of the most beautiful monuments in Rome.
In both Agora and Forum. They built the temples for people to gather together but it was also used for strong uses. They both needed it for either kind news, making decisions, debates and other things that concerns the country. They might both be different but they have similarities that you can obviously see. Thats why both of those places are now famous because thats how people was first introduced to the history of both
