“Comparison and Contrast Essay: High School vs. Collage."
I prefer to do this essay as a general contrast of specific topic:
Writing is a very important aspect of people’s lives since this is one form of communicating with other people. It does not only enable you to communicate with other people that are far away but also enables you to express your thoughts and emotions through pen and paper. When you practice writing through writing activities, this drastically improves your English writing skills for the reason that I believe in a saying that says, “Practice makes perfect”.
High school, as well as college, is just another part of everyone’s lives. Almost everyone goes through such a transition between two very diverse and different worlds. These diverse worlds can be compared and contrasted by everyone; however, not all are aware of …show more content…
I couldn’t imagine the workload I was about to receive; I expected that I would already fall behind within the first couple of days. I imagined my professors with booming voices and red, glaring eyes that would shoot hate into my soul; I hoped I would be able to get to my next class without tearing up. After a week, my experience with college classes changed my expectations completely.Expectation: Professors are always serious; they never joke around.
Reality: Every classroom I walked into exerted a welcoming vibe; my professors all seemed to open with some sort of joke or silly statement. The first thing my psychology prof. did was show us the video of the giraffe stuck in quicksand, and the five steps of denial: relating it to our feelings of being in an 8:30 a.m. class. Professors want students to respect them and feel as though they are approachable--they don’t want to scare you off before the semester has even begun.Expectation: You will have homework/reading to do from right after classes into the wee-hours of the
