Many people mistake crossbows as being the same as compound bows, but they are not. The biggest difference is crossbows are held horizontally, and compound bows are held vertically. This causes different challenges for the user.
Most bow hunters think that crossbows are easier to hunt with, but they really are not. Except for the fact that they don’t have to be pulled back and held steady. Where as a compound bow has to be pulled back and held as steady as possible for the most accurate shot. Crossbows also have smaller arrows than the compound. This is simply because of how the two bows were made.
