Comparing Zeus And Poseidon As A Greek God In Ancient Greek Mythology

In Greek mythology, it exists creatures and monster that are unexplainable. Those creatures and monsters are myths and histories that ancient Greek believed and lived their lives around. According to those stories, Zeus and Poseidon are two bother considered as Greek god. However, even though Zeus and Poseidon are brothers and both are considered as Greek god according to Ancient Greek mythology, the two differ enormously in how they were threat at birth, their power works, and in how they react with people around them.

Even though Zeus and Poseidon are brothers and that both are considered Greek god according to Ancient Greek mythology, the two differ in how they were threat at birth. Poseidon like all his siblings but Zeus had been swallowed by his father Cronus at birth. Unlikely his brother Poseidon, Zeus was not swallowed by his father. Zeus was the only son of Cronus who was not swallowed by Cronus. Even though they had the same parents, Poseidon was swallowed at birth and Zeus not.

Zeus is the god of sky, the sky ruler and the ruler of gods. Unlike his brother, Poseidon is the god of sea, the god of horses. Zeus as the ruler of sky could create all natural phenomena related to the air, the sky such as storms, tempests, intense darkness and lightning. As he wishes, thunders would flash and lighting would roll. To differ to Zeus, Poseidon is the ruler of the sea and could create all kind of natural phenomena related to water. Zeus has a trident as a weapon, with which he could make the earth shake. Zeus and Poseidon differ in a way that Zeus can create all kind of phenomena related to the sky and Poseidon
