Comparing Two Political Parties

Introduction

The Republican and Democratic Parties are the two main political parties of the United States. These two parties have very different views, so much that they are almost the opposite of eachother. The two parties agree on very few things, such as sending aid to foreign countries, but they have different views on who they believe the aid should go to. If America is divided by Republicans and Democrats, could we ever come together as a nation and become truly “United” or will these political parties continue to separate America. Would abolishing America's two party system be beneficial, or would it start problems throughout the nation. Would creating a third “neutral” party resolve some of the separation that the main two political parties are causing. Both of these political parties were created in the 1800’s, but America has changed drastically since then. When it comes around to election time, some Americans get hostile or start trying to debate with supporters of the opposing political party and start explaining why they are wrong. These two political parties are the main parties, but is it good if these parties are creating separation in the United States due to their views. The citizens of America vote based on their beliefs and what party has the most similar views as them, such as people who support gay marriage will favor The Democratic Party far more than The Republican Party, because Republicans support and promote marriage between a woman and man only. It is these small little views that separates the citizens of America, and I do not believe that we are truly “United” if we have such diverse beliefs and views. I understand that all citizens of America are entitled to their own opinion, but sometimes people get a little bit to defensive towards people with the opposite
