The Whitewater Scandal and The Tragedy of Macbeth both have several conspiracies surrounding them. There are many comparisons and contrasts that can be made between the individuals involved in the scandal and the characters in The Tragedy of Macbeth. They both have their own failed attempts to advance in their political standpoint.

So Macbeth thought that before Banquo could even speak about his suspicions, that it would be best to have him killed. In Whitewater Jim McDougal, a real estate entrepreneur, was an old friend of Bill's and cut the Clintons into a deal where they wouldn't pay any upfront investment but could still stand to profit from the home sales.
