Ha and the Vietnam War The experiences Ha went through in the book Inside Out and Back Again were very similar to many of the experiences in the article “The Vietnam War.” In the article it said that one out of every twelve South Vietnamese was a refugee. This fact relates very close to Ha because she and her family were refugees. When Ha was still in Vietnam she remembered hearing the sounds of bombs, guns, and sirens. In the article it says that the rebels planted many mine and booby traps that caused a lot of chaos. Along with destruction and disaster there was still some fun. That fun was out into a party called Tet. Ha remembered many things about Tet and could not wait for it to come this year, but it got cut a little short because of
