As kids we were always taught that war is a terrible thing. Most people taught us that war can always be avoided and that it is a waste of life. As kids a lot of us played war. Making guns with our fingers and making cheesy gun sounds by blowing raspberries. We were always taught about the major wars, like WWI and WWII. We were also taught about the important wars America has been in. Like the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. In both those wars America was fighting for freedom among other things. America fought hard in both of these wars. The Civil War was even fought amongst each other, with brothers fighting against brothers. Both wars featured a big loss of life for America.
