In the novella, Of Mice and Men, there are several behaviors that describe a temperament. During this instance, George’s compassion and bond for Lennie brings out the great in him, whereas his want to build life easier without Lennie takes the selfishness and solitude out of him.
George Milton shows his affection to Lennie when they “got kinda used to each other… ”. Later he shows additional compassion for Lennie when he says, “We travel together… Yea, it’s that way.” proving that George isn’t afraid to stand up for Lennie, even if it’s being called gay.
