In a town hall meeting on Tuesday, Charlie Rangel once again revealed the glaring ignorance of his left-wing education. When asked about his thoughts on Tea Party motivations, Rangel responded with the typical disregard for historical accuracy that his party is known for. According to Rangel, “They come from states that used to own slaves. They come from states that the Confederate Army pledged allegiance to. They come from states that the Ku Klux Klan and voter’s rights and all of those things came into play.”
Rangel’s insinuation that the events that occurred over a century in the past have some sort of connection with modern-day conservative politics is at best naive and at worst inflammatory
