I have read the book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton and the poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay” by Robert Frost. The book is about two different groups the socs and greasers who are always fighting. “Nothing Gold Can Stay” is about life and how most things that are good never stay. The theme of the book is divided community and the theme of the poem is nothing that is good ever lasts.
The theme of chapter four from The Outsiders is divided community. The socs always jump the greasers and both groups always start fights. The author said on page 56 “The Soc caught my arm and twisted it behind my back ,and shoved my face into the fountain.” This causes a fight and for Ponyboy to have to try his best to fight back. The socs will look for greasers to jump
